Why The Hate From Some Trans People Over Janice Covington Allison?

2_thumb.jpgI’ve read more than enough backlash from the Trans community about Janice Covington Allison.  My question is why the hate?

Due to the work that Janice Covington Allison has  accomplished, Transgender people can now use the bathrooms, at, any Charlotte City and Mecklenburg County owned property.

Charlotte Douglas Airport, City and County Parks, Time Warner Stadium, Bojangles Stadium, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Carolina Panthers Bank America Stadium and BB&T Stadium Charlotte Knights Baseball and she is working on more.

She was also the first Transgender Delegate in the History of North Carolina to be elected to the Democratic National Convention, the first transgender woman to be a member of the North Carolina Democratic Woman’s Association, the first transgender woman to be elected as a sitting member of the North Carolina Democratic Party State Executive Committee.

She is also the North Carolina Democratic State Party Chair of Diversity and Outreach. Janice also introduced and had passed by vote the term Gender Identity, added to the Preamble of the State Democratic Party. She has received the Harvey Milk Award and the Rosa Parks Award.

So, to those who think Janice does not do any work for the Trans Community they are wrong. Also people claim she is a narcissist or a person who likes the center of attention on the contrary. She is sought after by the press because she does more than sit home on the computer.  Make no mistake about it: haters gonna hate – no matter what.

Note – several articles are coming out this week on Allison’s activism and her efforts to clarify bathroom issues within government facilities and corporate entities.
